Hi all,

On Wednesday, we woke up to Zohran Mamdani's America. Mamdani won the Democratic Primary for New York City's Mayor as a socialist aiming to freeze rents, make buses fast and free, and provide universal childcare. Months ago, no one thought Mamdani could do it, so how did he win? Through organizing — in its many forms.

Here, in the Bay, we organized a party and found ourselves featured on KQED's Forum. We also wrote a whole lot about the possibility and power of organizing.

This week, we've published:

Our analysis: organizing works.
